Brett Logsdon has discovered a builtin monitor on the iPAQ

Details here:

	http://www.dalecoffing.com/iPAQ/Parrot/debug.htm

The interesting feature is the copy ROM from/to CompactFlash command.
Perhaps a simpler install method?

if you are thinking of getting one you may want to
hold off a month or 2. rumor has it they are going
to bump the memory up from 32M to 64M.

but its like anything else, as soon as you get 'X'
they come out with 'Y'

Not a complaint, but an ever so slight nudge. Content to wait. Curious
about the implementation choices, wrt 3-button mice versus
touch-screen.

It uses only the flash and main memory. However, you have to replace
Wince (or linux) to use it. That makes it more of a commitment than
on a PC. We're not putting it out there till we find out why its having
problems with the last batch of ipaq's we got. We use the linux flash
bootldr. Before you even think about it, look at the 'installing linux'
for it under www.handhelds.org.

If you're looking for encouragement or critical mass, I am interested
in testing the IPaq PocketPC port as well.

Will it function with the builtin memory only (32Mb) or require
additional storage?

Ditto.

Like those very nice IBM 1GB CF discs?

The H3650 (or 3630). We just got a new one that hangs after a while
so we have to figure out what changed. I should put the port out
there. I wanted to get the file system working first but got side
tracked so brucee (bruce ellis) is doing it. Give me another few
weeks and if I haven't put the port out there, complain.
