I noticed that the Plan 9 Console in 9front can be
frame buffer console, where we can write commands etc.
This can be seen when run only aux/vga without rio.
Therefore, we can use it as a high resolution console.
Is this new in 9front?

No, this is from Bell Labs. It was present in the 2nd edition demo, released in 1995.
