No, I don't have compiled bin/auth stuffs, either.
Mine is OpenBSD 6.0 
(I have INSTALL.local with
cc=/usr/local/bin/x86_64-unknown-opebsd6.0-gcc-4.9.8.)

I moved PLAN9FRONT source to /usr/local/plan9,
and re-compiled.

I see many lines of:
dependency cycle: ...  authsrv; breaking with authsrv
