gpt and efi are supported. what is not done by the installer is to create
a boot entry in your firmware automatically (as we do not make calls into
the efi runtime once the kernel is up and do not intend to).
to create the entry, you just need to start the bootx64.efi file (installed
in 9fat), should be accessible from efi... if not copy to the ESP.
