I'm trying to get my Lenovo T410i to display at its native 1440x900.
The maximum resolution I can successfully set is 1280x800x32. The
resolution does not fill the screen but gives me a letter box with
black edges. I tried to add my display parameters to /lib/vgadb but no
dice when setting monitor=t410i and vgasize=1440x900x32 like so( I
later learned that this is unnecessary with igfx but I thought I'd add
that.) :

If I try 1440x900x32 I get a black screen and I have to drop to rc and
ed the plan9.ini to fix.
Output of aux/vga for VESA:

output of aux/vga for igfx:

I also have no ACPI support for shutdown or battery life but that's a
separate topic.

A hack which may work: set some resolution with vesa, then set the resolution you want with the native driver.
