Hi all,
I'd like to get some opinions on consolidating the log output from the
various UPAS pieces. As it stands, the various UPAS executables
scatter log output across 8 files under /sys/log: imap4d, mail, pop3,
runq, smtp, smtp.fail, smtpd, and smtpd.mx. upas/vf even tries to log
to /sys/log/vf but that file doesn't exist by default.
I think this excessive so, to start things off, I propose that all
output instead go to /sys/log/mail with each line having a prefix to
indicate from which program it originated. Thoughts?

i’m not opposed to consolidating the smtp* files, at least, but i’m not sure off the top of my head if any of the tools rely upon the logs being separate.
