First, let me thank Professor Lemay for taking on the laborious and time-consuming job of running Catlist in its current incarnation.

But looking to the past (and future as well),
is there an archive somewhere of past posts to the Catlist?

What prompts that question:
Some years ago there was a most interesting exchange of views between Professors Bénabou and Johnstone over optimal ways to formulate topos theory.
The argument got so heated that the moderator, Bob Rosebrugh, ended the discussion.
I think it would be of value to have a retrievable record of that debate.

Anyhow, that is just one example of the value of having a retrievable record of what categorists have said on the list.
