I've been using VM with XEmacs for years but have decided to
revamp how I handle mail. This morning I got the Cyrus IMAP
server working and mail is being delivered to it, and I thought
it would be a good time to switch to Gnus for my client.

So, I stuck this in my .gnus:

(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods
       '((nnimap "dada"
               (nnimap-address "mercury")
              (nnimap-list-pattern ( "INBOX" . "*"))
               (nnimap-expunge-on-close ask))))

and fired up XEmacs and Gnus 5.8.7, was prompted for a
username and password and...that's it, I can't find any
nnimap newsgroups. Name completion only shows nndrafts
under "nn*".

I set the imap-log variable and I can see the trace of
my server being connected to and logged in to, it all
seems fine, I just don't see any messages.

Probably, I just need a good swift kick to the head to
the head, but right I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

thanks,
Eddie
