if you manage to put a group into more than one topic,
either deliberately or accidentally,

C-k kills the group everywhere it appears, but it doesn't
_appear_ to do this until you refresh the group buffer.

C-y restores the group everywhere it used to be, except
    for one place

this is quite confusing and nonintuitive behavior.

I expect C-k to act more like T D.

Quassia 0.13 should update the lines properly.

`C-k' works the same in both topicified buffers and normal buffers --
it kills the group dead.

which makes sense in the gnus microworld, but it's rather
different from how C-k is used in emacs normally.

for example. say I have

    alt.sex.crumpets
    alt.sex.trilobites
    alt.sex.zymurgy

and I want to move crumpets below trilobites. the natural
way to do it is C-k then C-y. however, crumpets happens to
be linked in multiple topics, and after C-y, my groups look
like this:

    alt.sex.crumpets
    alt.sex.trilobites
    alt.sex.crumpets
    alt.sex.zymurgy

or maybe not. gnus has decided to yank crumpets in a way I
don't expect and can't predict. it's quite frustrating.

Yeah, but that's a bug. :-) Fix in Quassia Gnus v0.13.
