nnmh-directory ?

I'm confused -- but, not an unusual situation! With Quassia Gnus v0.13
when using a nnmh backend, nnmh-directory keeps getting set to
"~/News/drafts/" on startup. I think it should be "~/Mail/". What's
going on?

This change worked for me.

That's correct behavior.  Is this a problem?  When you read an nnmh
group, that variable should revert to its "proper" value.

The problem is that it doesn't revert to it's proper value, and when
you start Gnus it thinks all your nnmh are empty when they aren't.
Trying to open them leads to an error because Gnus is looking in
~/News/drafts/ instead of ~/Mail/ for the messages.  With the patch I
posted though, things work as they should.

Yes, my description was quite inadequate and Jason described the
problem precisely and kindly supplied a proposed fix.

But `nndraft-current-group' is the proper "shadow" of
`nnmh-current-group', so I don't quite understand how that could
be...

I can't answer this for you, but trust me, this remains a problem for
me as well as other nnmh users.  I just compiled a fresh Quassia
v0.14, and when I start Gnus, I get the "No news is no news" bit, and
all my nnmh groups show up empty with an asterisk in front of them.

There was a thinko in the nnoo inheretance scheme.  Fix in Quassia
Gnus v0.15.

Okay, now the nnmh groups show up with articles, but 
`gnus-summary-save-article-folder' isn't working correctly.
 
When I do an `O h' on an article, Quassia v0.15 prompts me with:
 
"Save this article in file: (default ding) +nnmh/lists/"
 
With Gnus v5.5 and earlier Quassia's, the prompt is:
 
"Save article in folder [+nnmh/lists/ding] +"
 
At the plus sign, I could tab complete my nnmh directories in ~/Mail
which is what nnmh-directory is set to.  With Quassia v0.15 this is
not possible.  `O h' almost seems to be acting like
`gnus-summary-save-article-file' now.
