I tried changing rfc2047-default-charset to 'us-ascii but all this
produced was the error

Invalid coding system: us-ascii

This makes me wonder if there are any valid coding systems!  Could this
error be because I do not have leim installed?  Or some other thing
peculiar to my syetem? Are other people having this problem?  Help!

This is in pgnus-0.34 on GNU Emacs 20.2.1 .
