This is from CVS as of this week.
I C-c C-c to send a message, and it takes 95 seconds to go from
"Sending via mail..." to filing my Gcc, which now takes 10 seconds.
What the heck happened?

What is your Gcc backend? Do you use sendmail or smtpmail.el ?

My Gcc backend is nnfolder, and I have gnus-use-sendmail set to nil.

What is the size of the folder file? Is it on a local file system or
network one?
Which version of Gnus did you use before the updating?

My folder file is 16M in size. It's local.
I used another CVS version from roughly a month ago before updating.

I think nnfolder is inefficient for files with large size.
