It is OK for one mail per file, but not OK for Unix mail format, which
requires "From EMAIL DATE" be the first line of the message.

This is Maildir, not mbox...

Maildir format doesn't require any such header. No Mail I ever receive
has this header, either.

Hence, I am not sure why you response is relevant.

OK, I fixed the bug, and changed the specification of maildir mail
source.  The default is

(maildir 
   :path (or (getenv "MAILDIR") "~/Maildir/")
   :subdirs ("new" "cur"))

Check whether it is what you expected.

Yes, that looks better. Thanks.

I assume this means you can now do:

(maildir :path "~/Maildir") 

And it will automatically look inside "new" and "cur". Don't bother
replying unless I am wrong ;-)

I do not use the CVS version of gnus, but will try it as soon as the
change is propagated into the Debian version.
