I've been using Gnus to read a bunch of RSS feeds, lately, i.e. a couple
of weeks the following RSS feed: http://servis.idnes.cz/rss.asp hasn't had
any news, which only came to me after a while, which is impossible, since
it's a newssite with hundreds of daily new stories.

So removed it with `G Del', now when I try adding it with `G R', it fails
with:

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "No feeds found for
http://servis.idnes.cz/rss.asp")
signal(error ("No feeds found for http://servis.idnes.cz/rss.asp"))
  error("No feeds found for %s" "http://servis.idnes.cz/rss.asp")
  gnus-group-make-rss-group()
  call-interactively(gnus-group-make-rss-group nil nil)

What could be the issue?

It's an Atom feed, and rss.el doesn't support Atom feeds. I'd suggest
reading it via Gwene instead.

I could not agree more as Gwene is much, much - did I say much? - faster
than nnrss - even with external download of feeds.

If you do use external download of feeds, you can translate Atom to RSS
quite easily using xlstproc:

This is one of those `duh' moments, ahh... You're right. These guys
must've switched from RSS to Atom recently, as it worked no prob before...

OK, I'm trying to read the feed through Gwene, I've added it as
gwene.cz.idnes.all
the gwene webpage tells me it's subscribed.

I've added news.gwene.org as an nntp source in Gnus, now however when I
list all groups with `A A' I don't see this gwene.cz.idnes.all, there's
some other gwene.cz groups, but not this one. What am I missing?

Maybe it is because the feed is not valid?

Apparently ".all" isn't a valid NNTP segment name. I've now removed
that, and the group was created. (And adjusted the web page to refuse
to accept these names.)

Works now.

BTW http://gwene.org/ is not useable in Emacs via w3m, the feed input
field is not visible. You might wanna fix that...

Not visible? It's just a normal form, I think...

It's the `type=string' in the input field. It's not displayed by w3m.
Without the `type=string' part the page loads fine in w3m and can be
accessed.

Don't know what's the `proper' form but with the type part it's
malfunctional in w3m, which is not such a great idea, as I'd assume you'd
want it to be accessible from a browser within Emacs...

That should be type=text, I guess...

What do we do about feed urls with "all" in the name that we've already
signed up? You can't change the url, and it complains that the feed is
already subscribed…

There were just two, but I've removed them now.
