Hello
Some years ago ma-gnus-09 shipped sha1.el
but recent GNU emacs (26 or 26) ship a gnus version which does not
contain that file anymore.
So where is that functionality gone? Especially the function
sha1-binary.

It looks like sha1.el was removed in 2011:
