Do Gnus & Mailcrypt play well together again? My last experience of a
working mailcrypt package was pre-qgnus; the MIME handling seems to
have shot it all to hell. I understand there are issues with what
should be signed and where and how to join all the bits together. I
even recall Ratinox posting often on the evilness of PGP in headers
but haven't seen any indication that a solution was ever found. Can I
return to authenticating mail in Gnus yet?
I've not been paying close attention to this list for a little bit so
forgive me if I've missed some significant announcement on this.

Recent MailCrypt will happily en/decrypt and sign/verify messages that
are text/plain. The RFC-specified MIME-compatible version of PGP
handling is not yet handled by MailCrypt.

Not quite. I would add "and us-ascii" there, on account of there
still seeming to be problems piping non-ASCII characters to GPG (the
actual input of GPG is in fact the Emacs internal coding of the
character, which adds \201 characters before each ISO-8859-1
character, for instance).
