I think 5.8.3 is beta (pgnus was the alpha version).
There are two alternative explanations why there is no xemacs package
for 5.8.3, yet:
a) we are still waiting for 5.8.x to stabilise some more.
b) nobody volunteered to do the package.
pick one :-)
