Last week I finally set up an rsync backup mirror for /home on my, er,
home computer. So, naturally, the SSD on my home machine took this as a
vote of no confidence and gave up the ghost yesterday.
The only thing of any value I lost was one week's worth of
read/unread/ticked marks, but I've tried going over the IMAP versions of
my mail boxes (that I normally don't read) and respond to any
outstanding stuff there.
But I've probably missed stuff.
So if you're waiting for me to respond to something, and I haven't yet,
I've probably misfiled the query somewhere. Please resend.

Wow, I'd never thought you could say this in a language other than
German.

Have you ever considered how much text can fit in eighty columns? Given that a
signature typically contains up to four lines of text, this space allows you to
attach a tremendous amount of valuable information to your messages. Seize the
opportunity and don't waste your signature on bullshit that nobody cares about.
