I thought, uh, I'd try and make the logo a bit more specialized with
the given release. So, I, uh, apparently shot it. At least that's
what it looks like. xpm and lame-wrong-way-to-do-things patch appended.

I probably didn't state well enough what those dots are. They are in
fact the real Oort cloud.

It seems that Pterodactyl is showing through, here (in the colors).
Why did you change the color of the gnu?

Um, it shouldn't have changed the color. The color assignments should
still be done by the gnus code not the xpm file. Did you look at it
by hand or did you actually run gnus? (remember that gnus actually
changes the colors of the xpm file at run time, so the actual xpm file
doesn't match the current run-time colors).

Ah. Now I see. I just hit `b' on your message. No, I didn't run
Gnus.
I like your new logo!

It's not messy, it's Oort!

It has an uncanny resemblance to a gnu in snowy weather, which happens
to be rather appropriate (at least in the northern hemisphere).
Perhaps we can animate it to snow slowly during startup. :-)

Oh, how I wish that it was cold here too... We're having more that 30°
celsius everyday... I can't go to the beach every weekend 'cause it's
a little bit far from here (2 hours by car, but the fuel is a lot
expensive here).
Seeing snow everytime I enter Gnus will make me start it more
often... nowadays I start it when I log in and... well... as I usually
don't log out, it be there... :-)

heh. Lars, I wish there were more vacation periods during the year so
we'd hear from ya more often!
