Perhaps it is two unrelated problems, since David said it became slow
on large attachments which suggest the server do open the messages for
SEARCH commands.  But I wouldn't be surprised if the network stuff in
Emacs for Windows was inefficient somehow.  Report it as a Emacs bug?
