  3. When using `B c' to copy messages from my INBOX to other
     folders under XEmacs, openssl just hangs and I have to kill it
     in order to make any further progress.  Doing the same thing
     under GNU Emacs gives me no problems.

And, strangest of all:

  4. Some GNUs bindings I've come to rely on, e.g. `/ o' for
     gnus-summary-insert-old-articles seem to be completely missing!
