Hi,
if I quit Emacs while writing a message, an autosave file is dropped
in ~/News/drafts/drafts. WIBNI Gnus would resurrect this automatically
upon entering the drafts group (or perhaps when I call a certain
function)?

That is supposed to happen... Hm, no, the code isn't there. I've now
added this to the todo list.
