Hi! I'm using 5.4.65 on XEmacs 20.2...

My backend is nnsoup. I have some archive groups where I save the important
stuff..

Sometimes I mark several articles and just want to copy them to one of the
archive groups.

I've consistently observed that only one out of two of the copied articles
get expired ( I've got auto and total expire set on the source groups).

All of the articles get the S flag...

I've looked on the manual and at gnus-uu.el and found no easy way to do a
digest and save it on file... Yeah, I know it sounds weird, but sometimes I
need it....

Does any one have a better idea than mimic the gnus-uu-digest-mail-forward but
saving to file ?

Could a gnus-uu-digest-save-file function be added, Lars ?

Best regards,

	Nelson

I don't understand. Do you want the article in the archive group to
be expired?

(setq gnus-uu-save-in-digest t)

Ok, I didn't express myself clearly. The situation is:
I'm using nnsoup (didn't test with other backends yet).

Some groups I read have a regular FAQ posting which I save on disk. To do that
I mark the thread of the FAQ and do a 'O o'. But only one out of two of these
articles gets expired (since I have total and auto expire I can watch this
right after the saving operation).

Hmmm... And what comand do I invoke ? S o m , S o p ???

Thanks in advance,

	Nelson.

Saving articles and article expiry are unrelated, so whether you `O o'
the articles or not, that shouldn't affect expiry. So I still don't
understand what you want to see.

`X o'.

Well, if I save an article it becomes marked as read, right ? With auto-expire
and total-expire, it should also be marked as expirable, right ?

Well, it happens that when I mark the files and do the save with 'O o' only
half of the articles get marked as expirable (or read). That means that if I
quit the group and then reenter, half of the articles I previously saved are
still listed !!! Thats what I *should* not see... If I save them and they are
marked read I should not see them... I'd expect at least some consistency,
that is, either all get marked read or none gets marked read. As I said, this
happens in nnsoup (and gotta try it in other backends...)

Best regards,

	Nelson.

Oh, you're talking about marking as expirable; not about expiry. I
see.

Yup. Fix in Quassia Gnus v0.6.
