Under SunOS4.1.3, Emacs 19,34b, Gnus 5.4.53, gnus-no-server takes 34
seconds to start up for me! Do other people observe this long a
start-up time? Is there something I can do to make it shorter?
Gnus-no-server does not query my nntp server, of course, but I do
have two secondary servers: an nnbabyl server and an nnfolder server,
both with several (about 15) groups. The nnbabyl server has some ticked
articles as well.
I want to know the following:
1. Is this long start-up normal?
2. If not, how do I make it quicker?
Thanks,
Mark Hovey

That's quite a long time.

nnbabyl is quite slow, I think.
