2.8.5 cvs does not display html

Since getting  the latest cvs version yesterday I am no longer able to
display mail containing html. This problem is still occurring with the
CVS version as of 6:45 GMT today.

I get the following backtrace

The article does not contain multipart/alternate, just text/html.
I am running the latest url & w3 from CVS (though they have not been
updated for some time.)

This seems more like a bug in the w3 installation.  Which w3 version
do you have?

The latest one from CVS from the gnu.org repository. This hasn't been
updated recently, but I did a 'cvs update' and rebuilt both w3 & url
to make sure that I had the latest. 

I did not have the problem with the CVS gnus prior to yesterday.

Then it must be a Gnus bug.

Try `(load "url.el")' to get an uncompiled URL, and repeat the bug.
Mail the resulting backtrace.
