I updated Gnus via cvs yesterday. Since when on leaving Gnus saving the
.newsrc.eld file takes up to two minutes and uses 89% or so of my CPU
resources! On restarting Gnus after this I get the message "Mistake in
.newsrc.eld, line 14, do you wish to continue?)
The mistake appears to be that the line below is appended to the end of
.newsrc.eld
X-Draft-From: ("" "")
at least removing that gets things moving again, but after a while it
recurs and I'm not sure why!
Is it a bug or is it me?!

My fault. write-file-hook is buffer-local on Emacs, but not XEmacs.
This is fixed in CVS now.
