Any ideas how this could have come about? I noticed it left over in
my .newsrc.eld after I added all my group parameters into
gnus-parameters and set the [G p] parameters to nil. This happened
with only this one group:
("acm" 7 ((1 . 11) (12 . 17)) ((tick (1 . 2) (4 . 11) 12) (expire (13 . 16) 17)) nil ((to-list . "acm-talk@acm.cwru.edu") (broken-reply-to . t)))
("acm" 3 ((1 . 11) (12 . 18)) ((tick (1 . 10) 11 16) (expire (12 . 15) (17 . 18))) nil nil)
I quit Gnus, deleted them both, restarted, resubscribed, and got this:
("acm" 3 ((1 . 11) (12 . 18)) ((tick (1 . 10) 11 16) (expire (12 . 15) (17 . 18))) nil nil)
I'm using an Oort checkout from 2001-12-07.

Can you reproduce this bug? That is, if you `G p' a group, and then
remove the group parameters, the group gets duplicated?
