~/.mailcap. WIBNI Gnus offered a way to print an attachment?

Is there a standard (or "standard") that specifies the syntax of the
mailcap files, and what the semantics of the symbols are?

Um, from your mailcap.el:
;; Provides configuration of MIME media types from directly from Lisp
;; and via the usual mailcap mechanism (RFC 1524). Deals with

So RFC 1524 would be a good bet. :-) It it is rather vague about some
things though.

Thanks; I've now installed it. Hm... Quite a few fields. I think
"print" is the only interesting one. Let's see if I can munge that
into Gnus somehow...

Well, it's Bill's mailcap.el. So there. :-)
Anyway, it already parses stuff like "print=" correctly, so I just
have to add a command on the MIME button to print out the part using
the command.
