Hello

everytime I read a posting including  xface, I  receive a beep and the 
following message:
Searching for program: no such file or directory, icontobpm.
Comface is installed but it seems that it has nothing to do with this 
error message. Would you be so kind and tell me what do do?

Unfortunately, I don't know.

I strongly vote to disable xface stuff by default.  It's not
userfriedly; it a annoyance to the reader and the writer has no right
to do so.

You need the program 'icontopbm' too.  The "X-Face" node in the manual
has some suggestions about where it might be available.

If you don't want X-faces, you can set `gnus-treat-display-xface' to
nil.  I've also changed the default to not display X-faces if icontopbm
isn't available.
