The URL in the following message is not detected.

If it was then I could use
 M runs the command browse-url-firefox, which is an interactive
 compiled Lisp function in `browse-url.el'.
etc. on it.
Perhaps something could be made more sensitive to still detect it in the text.

This is an HTML message.  Gnus doesn't try to do auto-detection of URLs
in HTML.  I guess it could, but I think that'd be more annoying than not.
