how do I turn adaptive scoring on for a whole topic?

Hi,

I couldnt' find this in the manual or in gnus.ding (or it didn't work)
I would like to turn adaptive scoring on for all the groups in a topic
(in this case all my NNTP groups).

Setting gnus-use-adaptive scoring in the topic parameters didn't work.
Only using (adapt t) in each score file works, but it's a pain.

This is probably the same bug reported in [1] and in [2] (where
turning off adaptive scoring via `gnus-parameters' didn't work as
expected).

Alas, nobody has fixed this bug yet.

I didn't verify it, but I have seen no changes concerning scoring, so
the bug most likely is still present.

of these groups?  (And what's the value of
`gnus-use-adaptive-scoring' in the same groups?)

Oh, I see now what the problem is.  It first sets the former variable
to the value of the latter variable, and then it sets the latter
variable to the group param value.

Which won't work, of course.

What happens if you set the former variable in the topic parameter
instead?

Then it works (that's the workaround myself and others have
been using). But `gnus-newsgroup-adaptive' is not a user
variable, so it's not that nice a solution.
