Hi,
Is anyone using Gnus and nnmbox to read their mail? I've been trying
for some time but it just won't work.
Gnus starts but then it doesn't "inc" my mail. There are no error
messages and all my other groups come up. I am currently stuck using
nnfolder to read mail from the spool.
Below is my .gnus file. While trying to get this to work I have tried
various combinations of the items in my .gnus file, including using
the default movemail and substituting "$HOME" for "~".
I have also tried using "~/mbox" for the "nnmbox-mbox-file" and "~/active"
for the active file.
I am using Gnus 5.3 on AIX. I tried Gnus 5.4.16. but there was no
change.
Running the movemail listed in my .gnus file manually works.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

There is no program with that name (including the spaces and all).
Just use
"/usr/local/rlib/emacs/19.34/bin/emacs/19.34/rs6000-ibm-aix3.2.5/movemail",
Gnus will take care of the right arguments.
Was this it?

No. Sorry there aren't meant to be any arguments after the movemail
command. The version of my .gnus file that I posted was the last one I
tried. Those arguments actually give an error message.

Sorry but the version of the .gnus file I included had some extra
parameters that I tried just before I posted. They shouldn't be there.

The line above should read
(setq nnmail-movemail-program
"/usr/local/rlib/emacs/19.34/bin/emacs/19.34/rs6000-ibm-aix3.2.5/movemail")
