For one day, we had egg-zactly 300 subscribers to this list, which is
the highest number ever. (Which isn't surprising, since the
subscription number has been increasing kinda monotonously since
forever.) And then 3 people unsubscribed. Feh!

Well you have to give this list some image.. uhm post some nice
pictures of norwegian girls (just demonstrating/testing the
possibilities of decoding/encoding in Gnus)..
Or have some lottery.. :-)

A large number of subscribers does not imply a higher quality mailing
list and is a huge headache. Been there, done that.

For the record, ding-announce has 249 members and ding-patches has a
paltry 35. Perhaps nobody knows about ding-patches, given the complaints
about getting patches from the FTP/web sites.
