In function message-make-fqdn we read:

     ...
     ;; Default to this bogus thing.
     (t
      (concat system-name ".i-did-not-set--mail-host-address--so-tickle-me")))))

However, in function message-check-news-header-syntax, there is still

   ...
   ;; Check "Shoot me".
   (message-check 'shoot
     (if (re-search-forward
	  "Message-ID.*.i-did-not-set--mail-host-address--so-shoot-me" nil t)
	 (y-or-n-p "You appear to have a misconfigured system.  Really post? ")
       t))

which should be adapted to the definition above.
