Subject: http://www.gnus.org/dist doesn't list version numbers
Date: Wed, 06 Feb 2002 09:41:51 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <vaflme7xar4.fsf@INBOX.auto.gnus.tok.lucy.cs.uni-dortmund.de> (raw)
Krzys Majewski <krzys@cs.mcgill.ca> points out that by following the
links from http://www.gnus.org/, one does not get a hint about which
version of Gnus one is downloading.
How about renaming the files somewhat? From gnus.tar.gz to
gnus-5.8.8.tar.gz, for instance.
Or maybe just include a README file in that directory?
Or add new files LATEST_STABLE_IS_5.8.8 and
LATEST_DEVEL_IS_ognus-0.05?
Thanks, Krys.
