Is it possible to have several emacs frames each displaying a
different newsgroup (that is, a summary/article pair)?
That doesn't appear possible since the article buffer is always
named *Article*, not *Article:gnus.ding* or something. But maybe
there's a variable that changes that.

Have you tried the variable gnus-single-article-buffer, yet?
