If you have an alternative server in gnus-secondary-select-methods,
you can submit your new article with `C-u 0 C-c C-c'; you will be
prompted for the server to which to post.

Openly-accessible NNTP ports are considered to be rather the scourge
of Usenet, being spammers' routine entry points. Most, even UUNET's,
are being closed.
