It seems that Gcc'd messages are always encoded (quoted-printable)
even though the actually sent version is not.

How can I tell Gnus I want Gcc's as plain 8bit?

I think they might be encoded as mail would have been, and the default 
for mail is qp.  I don't know how to make Gcc behave differently.
