I have a lot of versions of Emacsen including XEmacs without
MULE and I've already tested that code totally. :-)

Ok.
By the way, to improve the existent pop3.el is not really matter
of my own. I can make an overall revision of pop3.el in the
right manner if I feel inclined to do that. Maybe it will be
named pop.el.:-p Otherwise, what I should do might be the use
of IMAP. I simply understood that pop3.el is deadlocked.
