Don't do it, is the usual etiquette.

(Unless the poster specifically asks for an email copy. In my experience
that is very rare indeed).

Thanks Adam. The majority of followups I have received since switching
to gnus + gmane have been a reply to my email and the list; hence my
question.

Oh, I thought you were asking about newsgroups.

My experience is that it varies way more on mailing lists - some people
always send a personal copym as well as to the list.

I find that annoying, personally (I read the mailinglist!) - but the
etiquette is far less clear-cut when it comes to mailing lists.

"Only" sending to the mailing list is never wrong, in my humble opinion,
though.

Hi. How would I configure gnus to reply to "From:" and also follow-up to
"Newsgroups:" at the same time?

Default behavior is just follow-up to "Newsgroups:", with or without
quoting:

  F - gnus-summary-followup-with-original
  f - gnus-summary-followup

Also, is there a particular etiquette w.r.t. this?
