Whats the easist way to change this

 (global-set-key (quote [f3]) 'w3m-search)

to search for the word currently under the cursor?

current-word? Can it be specified in the global-set-key line?

Well, emacs-w3m v1.4.4 (and also that of the CVS version) should
do just so. What version of emacs-w3m are you using?

BTW, this newsgroup is not for emacs-w3m. You had better go to
the gmane.emacs.w3m newsgroup which is gateway'd to the emacs-w3m
mailing list (http://emacs-w3m.namazu.org/index-en.html#mailing_list).
