Someone (Ted Leung http://www.sauria.com/blog ) was complaining
about poor integration of mail, contact database, calendar, and
scripting in Outlook, et al.

I mentioned to him that emacs does this, and that emacs users
even have several different choices of how to achieve this.
Anyway, he still says he is looking forward to Chandler:

  http://www.osafoundation.org/feature_summary.htm

which will solve his problems.

I really don't expect to convince him otherwise, since he seems
wedded to a point-and-click interface, I guess. Anyway, there
are some features there which I wouldn't know how to implement in
emacs/gnus:

  jabber integration
  ical integration
  remote queries of address database

Does anybody know of elisp libs for these?

Chris

Thanks. I also found two emacs jabber client projects.
