I don't know the answer but I can tell you that it works (at least it
should work). I have a Courier IMAP server on woody and the articles in
my spam-folder expire regularly, according to my settings:

(setq gnus-parameters
      '(
;; [...]
;; Spam-folder ------------------
	("^nnimap.*:INBOX\\.spam"
	 (auto-expire . t)
	 ;; delete after 14 days
	 (expiry-wait . 14.0)
;; [...]
	 )))

Regards,
Marcus

Yeah, mine expire too, no problem, but the expiry mark isn't stored on
the IMAP server. So articles marked expirable on one client only
appear "seen" from another client. Do your expirable articles appear
as such across clients? If so, I'd like to know more about you :-)
What Courier version? Any particular configuration?

  Thanks,

Roland.

Nothing yet. I still have it. I think Courier doesn't support that
feature yet, although I've seen requests for it.

Why did the tachyon cross the road?
Because it was on the other side.
