I had a group where the article counts seemed to have got out of sync
- with 5 articles showing as unread in the *Group* buffer, if I hit
"Enter" I got asked "How many articles do you want (default 220)?"

So I did a "C" to catchup the whole group. That fixed the count
problem, but all my ticked articles have vanished! They are still in
the cache (~/News/cache/<groupname>) but I can't see the "*" in the
*Group* buffer, that indicates ticked articles are present.

How do I recover from this? And is there a better way I should have
used to fix the original article count problem?

Thanks,
Paul.
