What's a "display image"? Do you mean the (X-)Face-headers?
,----[ (info "(gnus)X-Face") ]
| `X-Face' headers describe a 48x48 pixel black-and-white (1 bit depth)
| image that's supposed to represent the author of the message. It
| seems to be supported by an ever-growing number of mail and news
| readers.
`----
,----[ (info "(gnus)Face") ]
| `Face' headers are essentially a funkier version of `X-Face'
| ones. They describe a 48x48 pixel colored image that's supposed to
| represent the author of the message.

Bye,

Sure, I have read the gnus manual page of this
(http://gnus.org/manual/gnus_285.html), So, I dont understand how does it
works:
(setq message-required-news-headers
(nconc message-required-news-headers
(list '(X-Face . gnus-random-x-face))))
(setq message-required-news-headers
(nconc message-required-news-headers
(list '(X-Face . (lambda ()
(gnus-x-face-from-file
"~/My-face.gif"))))))
because I dont have any `message-required-news-headers' in my Emacs.
thanks.
