Sorry if there is already a copy of this message not sure of gnus sent
the last one or not, if so pleae ignore this one.
Other than setting up an authinfo file and the authinfo-user
authinfo-pasword variables, is there anything else necessary. I wish
to use this on a primary select method is this possible, info referes
to foreign groups. It appears gnus is sending the info but
notalwayswhen requested.

What is the procedure for using authinfo with a primary select method?
I have set the variables nntp-authinfo-user and passsword created a
~/.authinfo file. But the server keeps closing the connection and I am
wondering if it could be an authentication problem somewhere. Gnus
appears to send the information sometomes, other times the server
keeps asking for it and gnus keeps ingnoring it.
