Error `scanadf: setting of option --br-x failed (Invalid argument)` can be explained:
One has to pass the device name (`-d <device>`), even on `--help`, for this error to go away.

Not needed anymore. I figured `scanimage` can already do so by adding `--device "${SCANNER}" --source "Automatic Document Feeder"`.
