There is a new pull request by istvan-andrasi against master on the void-packages repository
https://github.com/istvan-andrasi/void-packages master
https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/20543
New package: scangearmp2-3.70
This is the ScanGear application for Linux by Canon. I've tested it with my PIXMA TR4550.
I've created this package by copying and adjusting `cnijfilter2`.
A patch file from https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/20543.patch is attached

Comment:
Licensing is a trap here. Is proprietary part distributable? Do packaging GPL files next to proprietary comply to GPL?

Comment:
I thought the similarity to `cnijfilter2` would mean that the same legal conditions apply. If not, then please forgive me, but I'd rather not spend time figuring this out. I created the package for myself to avoid manual installation (copy libs and files from rpm), and I thought maybe it can be useful to some else.
By the way I'm curious: is that the reason why the CI check failed?
