I can confirm this issue. Another issue I have is that If I import `zynaddsubfx` as a plugin in Ardour (Creating a MIDI track with a ZynAddSubFX instrument), I only get the default UI, which is pretty much useless.

However, opening it as a standalone The UI that is available using the current package in the repos looks like this:
However, the new one looks like this:

Not sure how it works exactly, but maybe `zynaddsubfx` has to be built with the steps in [build-zyn-fusion](https://github.com/zynaddsubfx/zyn-fusion-build) to provide the ZynFusion user interface. Simply installing `zynaddsubfx` from the [KXStudio repos](https://kx.studio/Repositories) provides the new ui and works fine as a plugin in Ardour.
