New issue by sug0 on void-packages repository

https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/49275

Description:
### Is this a new report?

Yes

### System Info

Void 6.6.21_1 x86_64 AuthenticAMD uptodate rrmFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

### Package(s) Affected

mate-* 1.28.*

### Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?

_No response_

### Expected behaviour

A toast with the current volume and an update to its value is supposed to happen when we press the volume up, down or mute keybindings.

### Actual behaviour

Volume keybindings are not working under the new MATE update.

### Steps to reproduce

Use either the volume up, volume down or mute keybindings. None work.

related: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1404700/keyboard-shortcuts-not-working-until-restarting-mate-settings-daemon-on-startup

this fixes the issue, but it's not an ideal solution
